Christian Symbolism

As someone young to the Christian faith (when I wrote Hamilton Troll meets Pink light Sprite) I was eager to take in Gods word. Like a sponge I soaked up everything I could get, so I guess it makes sense that in my writing, some of that Word, would spill out.

While it was never my intention on implementing Christian messages within the Hamilton Troll books, it just so happens that there are various passages that could be construed of as Christian, and many of them are similar to bible verses. I chose a few to go with the story book stanzas, and while there were many more, these were the closest references.

My hope is that these scripture passages will add to a young child’s bible study or Christian teachings.

The Painting Discussion Notes

This book tends to yank out emotions long ago suppressed and incite conversations and deep thoughts long after it has been closed. To assist in engaging in discussion whether book clubs, youth groups or even bible studies, the author has put together an extensive list of thought-provoking questions to keep the conversation active.

Sample Questions:

What was the significance of the inchworm scene? Explain how the situation made Gerald reflect attributes of God.
What biblical location is the painting most closely related to?
List a few things Tiffany did to show Gerald friendship? How can you work some of those tasks into your own life?
What was it that Gerald wanted most from the viewers of his painting? How is that similar to God’s desires?
When Gerald doused the flames with the bucket of water, what Bible story did this symbolize?

Hamilton Troll meets Dinosaurs Kindle E-book

Dinosaurs lived millions of years ago and are now extinct yet they left behind clues that tell their story. Hamilton Troll comes across one of those clues, a fossil, that leads him and the Beaver Brothers up the river to a dinosaur museum where they learn so much about these prehistoric animals, including how big some of them were.

However it is when Hamilton Troll walks up to a hatching nest of eggs and meets these dinosaurs first hand that he discovers how great and magnificent these creatures once were.
